I’m a new member, delighted to join th Finest. Great to be part of the Eastern Shield Brigade. Always been a big fan of Cobra Commander, he was making the cartoon show (as others). My costume is Cobra Commander. Sadly I’m unable to share a picture in this forum, maybe since I’m a new member.
For my costume, some accessories were easier to find, while others were more complicated, very gleeful to have managed and also happy with the final professional look.
This week-end I will attend Montreal Comiccon from July 4 to 6, 2025 with my improved Cobra Commander costume. Can’t wait to enjoy the convention and make people happy to get pictures with a character that they appreciate.
A got a cap, but the cap pushes itself backwards sadly, I still need to figure it how to do it (with brooch or something else).
Very happy again to join the club and looking forward to talking to whole gang (forum & facebook).
Thank you for the the warm welcome. Coming back from Montreal Comiccon 2025 in Montreal, Québec, Canada, had a blast. I was well solicited for photos, it was great to make people happy with a childhood favorite character and be able to be photographed with him as a souvenir.
The good majority called out to me as if I were really Cobra Commander, many screaming Cobra and I was playing the game, I told them 'that the spirit, well said, future recruit, you have potential, and mores.
For the picture, then I said let’s go with the battle cry ‘Cobra!!!’ loudly, and several embarked with me, tripping like a children, kind of the best moment of their life. Even a father asked me to play my character with his son in a live video on his phone, he and his son enjoyed it.

Even though I’m alone in a G.I. Joe-Cobra costume (I accept that), I know I will please several fans there; last year many people asked me for photos and loved that I played my character, which I love to perform in both French and English (bilingual).
Fantastic weekend at the Montreal Comiccon (Quebec-Canada) from July 3 to 5, 2025.
The character of Cobra Commander is still popular in photos and videos. I gave a smile to many people (adult man and woman and children), they were very happy. It must be said that I played my character as faithfully as possible, and I think they liked my improvisation in the exchanges.
The highlights:
• An adult who filmed me on video where I said, like the Commander: “Not even G.I. Joe won’t be able to stop us. Cobra will rule the world. Hahaha!” The guy, smiling like a five-year-old who was reliving his childhood, thanked me greatly.
• Many people who came to me were completely excited when I told them yes for the photo or video. It’s as if they were meeting a Hollywood star, actually one of their favorite characters from childhood.
• Several people told me that Cobra Commander was their idol, that they were still watching the animated series with their child.
• the joy of fathers in sending their children to take photos with me.
• and mores.
2 people showed interest in G.I. Joe cosplay, I told them to join the group “The Finest Recruitment Center”, hoping they would become potential members.
